Our team is at your service seven days a week, and you can reach us by phone day and night. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Best for urgent questions, on the day of travel, or if something changes at the last minute.

WhatsApp

Send a message on WhatsApp

On the same number. Convenient if you are writing from abroad, or would rather send an address, flight number or route in writing.

Email

budapest@limohungary.com

For more complex requests: multi-day programmes, weddings or corporate events, with a schedule or guest list attached. Clicking the address opens a ready-made template for you to fill in.

All three channels reach the same team. There is no online form and no automated system: our staff handle every quote request personally, and if anything is missing or unclear, they will ask.

Getting in touch

Which channel is best, and when?

A quick question is best asked differently from a request to organise a multi-day delegation programme. The table below will help you decide which route is most convenient in each situation.

SituationRecommended channelWhy?
Something changes on the day of travelPhoneYou can speak to a member of our team immediately, day or night.
A simple airport transferPhone or WhatsAppA few details – time, flight number, address, number of passengers – can be passed on in minutes.
You are organising the trip from abroadWhatsApp or emailNo need for an international call, and everything stays in writing.
Wedding, corporate event, tourEmailThe full schedule, the venues and the guest list can all be sent at once.
Multi-day or international programmeEmail, followed by a phone callDetails are best set out in writing, and questions cleared up fastest by talking.
Regular corporate travelEmailBilling details and contact persons can be recorded in one go.

If the booking is not made by the passenger – for example, if a secretary’s office, an event organiser or a family member books on their behalf – please also give us the passenger’s name and the phone number on which they can be reached on the day of travel. That way the right name appears on the name sign at the airport, and the chauffeur knows whom to look for.

Whichever channel you start with, you are free to switch: a journey discussed on the phone can be summarised by email, and a question sent on WhatsApp can later be clarified by phone. Feel free to attach existing documents to your email – an event schedule, a guest list or a travel agency’s confirmation – so you do not have to type everything out again and nothing gets lost along the way.

Quote request

What to include in your quote request

The more complete your request, the more accurate the quote you receive, and the less often we need to come back to you with questions. Our email template covers exactly these points – just fill it in and send it.

  • Service – transfer, from the airport, to the airport, or an hourly booking.
  • Date and time – for departures, the time you wish to leave; for arrivals, the scheduled arrival time of your flight or train.
  • Pick-up address – with street and house number, or the hotel’s name for a hotel.
  • Intermediate stops – if you need to stop somewhere or pick someone up on the way.
  • Destination – with the exact address, or the foreign address for a trip abroad.
  • Number of hours – for an hourly booking, the planned duration.
  • Number of passengers and pieces of luggage – count children too, and mention any special luggage (ski equipment, musical instruments, a pushchair, a wheelchair) separately.
  • Child seats – baby seat (0–1 years), toddler seat (1–3 years) or booster seat (3–6 years), with the number needed.
  • Preferred vehicle – if you already know which one you would like.
  • Flight number – for airport arrivals and departures.
  • Name and phone number – of the passenger who can be reached on the day of travel.
  • Notes – anything that might matter: a return journey, special requests, billing details.
Mineral water in the cup holders of the rear armrest in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class
A few precise details – and a precise quote to match.

An example of a good quote request

“We arrive at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) at 18:40 on 14 October; I have attached the flight number. There are three of us, with two large suitcases and one smaller one. Our destination is a hotel in District V. Two days later we would like to go back to the airport from the same place, leaving at 7:00 in the morning. We would like a Mercedes-Benz E-Class.”

From this we can prepare an accurate quote for both journeys without having to ask a single question. Our sedans – the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, S-Class and EQS – take up to three passengers and three pieces of luggage; the V-Class and the Peugeot e-Traveller take seven passengers and seven pieces of luggage; and the Sprinter VIP takes six passengers and twelve pieces of luggage. If none of these suits your journey, just tell us what you need. You will find full vehicle details on our fleet page.

A quick checklist before you send

  • Is the date clear? For departures after midnight (at 00:30, for example), please state which night you mean.
  • For a large building, office block or residential complex, have you mentioned the entrance, the gate or the name on the doorbell?
  • Is there a return journey? If so, include it too, so you receive both in a single quote.
  • Can the passenger be reached on the number given on the day of travel – with roaming switched on for a foreign number?
  • Are you booking as a private individual or as a company? For corporate bookings, please include the billing details.

The process

What happens after your quote request?

  1. Quote request
By phone, WhatsApp or email, you tell us where and when you would like to travel, and how many of you there are.
  2. Clarification
If anything is missing or unclear – the exact address, the flight number, the amount of luggage – our team will ask. At this stage we may also suggest a different vehicle or type of booking.
  3. Final quote
Our team will come back to you shortly with a final quote. The transfer fares and hourly rates for our vehicles are also listed on our prices page; for journeys elsewhere in Hungary and abroad we send an individual quote.
  4. Travel
Your chauffeur will be waiting at the agreed address at the agreed time – for airport arrivals, in the arrivals hall with a name sign. If anything changes on the day of travel, call us at any hour.

For more complex arrangements – a multi-day trip abroad, a wedding, a corporate programme, a delegation – it is best to describe the whole programme in one go, with times and addresses. That way we can see the journey as a whole and tell you whether a simple transfer, an hourly booking or a Round trip tour with several stops outside Budapest would suit it better. The booking process is explained in detail on our booking page.

For our corporate clients

Corporate bookings: a corporate rate and a single invoice

If your company regularly arranges travel for executives, partners or guests, it is worth mentioning in your first request that you are booking as a corporate client. We offer our business partners corporate rates, handle all of the company’s journeys on a single invoice and also accept electronic payment. This means the assistant does not have to arrange each ride separately, and the finance department receives one clear invoice.

  • Give us the company’s billing details and the name of the contact person.
  • Tell us who may book on the company’s behalf, and for whom journeys may be booked.
  • For delegations, tell us the number of people, the daily programme and whether the group travels together or in several cars.

You can read more about our corporate travel – City transfer, Point to Point, Round trip for up to 50 people – on our corporate chauffeur service page. As a private passenger you can also pay by credit card.

Longer journeys

International and multi-day travel – how to contact us

A trip to Vienna or Prague is no obstacle for us, but for international transfers and multi-day programmes we need a few extra details. Please tell us the exact address abroad, whether it is a one-way or return journey, your planned departure and return times, and whether you would like to stop anywhere on the way – for a factory visit in Győr on the way to Vienna, for instance, or a short programme in Bratislava.

For a multi-day journey covering several places, it is best to send the full schedule in one email, broken down by day. Our team will then work out which vehicle and type of booking suits each leg, and send you an individual quote. If any questions come up in the meantime, you can reach us by phone 24 hours a day.

For international journeys, every passenger should carry a valid identity card or passport – children need their own documents too – as temporary border checks can occur even within the Schengen Area. You can read about destinations within the country on our transfers within Hungary page, and about neighbouring capitals on pages such as Budapest to Vienna transfer.

For organisers

For assistants, hotels and event organisers

A large share of the enquiries we receive come not from the passengers themselves but from whoever is organising their journey: an executive assistant, a hotel reception or concierge desk, an event or travel agency, a production team. What matters most to them is that a single enquiry takes care of every guest’s travel.

  • For several arriving guests, send a list with names, flight numbers, arrival times and hotels – from this we can see who can travel together and who needs a separate car.
  • When booking on a guest’s behalf, give us the guest’s name for the name sign and a phone number on which they can be reached on the day of travel.
  • For events, give us the venue’s exact address, the access or drop-off arrangements if the organiser has announced them in advance, and when the programme is expected to finish.
  • For invoicing, tell us whether the invoice should go to the guest, the hotel, the agency or the company placing the order.

Feel free to call at night

Our 24-hour availability is no mere formality. Whether it is a question about an early-morning flight, a guest arriving late in the evening or a gala dinner ending in the small hours, there is always someone to call. If something in the programme changes at the last minute, please tell us straight away – the sooner we know, the more options we have to adapt.

From abroad

Useful information for international callers

Many of our guests arrange their trip to Budapest or elsewhere in Hungary from abroad, before they set off. To phone us, call +36 20 932 4212 – +36 is the country code for Hungary. If an international call is expensive or inconvenient, message us on WhatsApp at the same number, or send an email.

Hungary is in the Central European time zone: UTC+1 in winter and UTC+2 during summer time. Please always give times in local Hungarian time – for airport arrivals, the flight’s scheduled local arrival time. If you are expecting a foreign guest, business partner or performing artist and are booking on their behalf, please give us the guest’s name and, if possible, the phone number on which they can be reached after landing.

Our chauffeurs speak foreign languages and have many years of experience in looking after international VIP guests. If your guest does not speak Hungarian, it is worth mentioning in your request which language they prefer – so that communication runs smoothly at the pick-up and throughout the journey. Our vehicle rates are shown in euros, and we also accept credit cards, which is especially convenient for our international passengers.

If your journey does not end in Budapest but continues to Vienna, Bratislava or a Hungarian spa town, please say so in your very first message: you can travel on from the airport without changing cars, and receive a single quote for the whole route.

Local know-how

Pick-up points in Budapest – airport, railway stations, hotels

In Budapest, most of our journeys start from a handful of typical places. Each has its own pitfalls: a wrongly given terminal, station or entrance can cost minutes at the start of a journey. The notes below will help you be precise in your quote request.

Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD)

The airport lies 16–20 kilometres from the city centre, on the south-eastern edge of the city. Since 2012 all passenger traffic has used Terminal 2, which consists of two sections, 2A and 2B, linked by the SkyCourt. Which section your guest comes out of depends on the flight – which is why we always ask for the flight number. Meet & Greet is part of our airport transfer; we cover it in detail on our airport transfer page.

Railway stations and Népliget

Keleti station stands on Baross tér in District VIII and opened in 1884. Nyugati station is on Nyugati tér, on the Grand Boulevard; it opened in 1877 and was built to designs by the Eiffel company of Paris. Déli station is the main station on the Buda side and the terminus of metro line M2. Most long-distance coaches arrive at Népliget bus station in District IX, next to the Népliget stop on metro line M3. For a pick-up at a railway or bus station, please tell us the train or coach number and its scheduled arrival time. During line closures and renovation works, trains may temporarily arrive at a different station – it is worth checking the railway company’s information before you travel.

Hotels, office buildings and private homes

Most premium hotels are in central Pest, along Andrássy út and on the Danube embankment – beautiful but busy areas, with pedestrian zones. Buda Castle District has restricted traffic, and the Chain Bridge is closed to private cars. For hotel pick-ups we therefore always ask for the hotel’s name and exact address and, if the building has several entrances, which one the chauffeur should wait at. For a block of flats, the name on the doorbell helps; for a residential complex, the barrier; and for a large office building, the main entrance or the underground car park exit. For very early departures, please also tell us whether the chauffeur should call you or just send a message.

Event venues

During concerts, sporting events and conferences, large numbers of people leave at the same time – around the Puskás Aréna and the Papp László Budapest Sports Arena in District XIV, the MVM Dome by Népliget, Müpa Budapest on the Danube or Hungexpo in District X alike. For a pick-up after an event, please tell us when the programme is expected to end, the name of the venue and, if you know it, the gate or side street where it is easiest to meet. More details on our event transfers page.

From outside Budapest

Not starting in Budapest? We will collect you anywhere in Hungary

You do not have to start from the capital: we are happy to collect you anywhere in Hungary and take you to Budapest, the airport, another Hungarian town or abroad. For pick-ups outside Budapest, a clear address is especially important – at a farmstead, a wine estate, a castle hotel or a large event venue, a description of the entrance, a well-known landmark or even GPS coordinates can help a great deal.

Lake Balaton and Hévíz

In summer, many people leave Lake Balaton at the same time, so alongside the exact address of your hotel or holiday home, it is worth letting us know about parking and access. Hévíz–Balaton Airport operates at Sármellék, near Hévíz; if your guest arrives there, you can book a journey from the airport to Hévíz, the Balaton shore or Budapest, based on the flight number and arrival time.

Eastern and northern Hungary

Debrecen airport is served by both scheduled and charter flights – for guests arriving there we ask for the flight number just as we do in Budapest. For a pick-up after a cellar visit in Eger or the Tokaj wine region, please also give the name of the cellar or winery, as addresses along the rows of wine cellars are not always clear.

For journeys elsewhere in Hungary, we send the final quote once we know the route. You can find distances and journey times on our transfers within Hungary page.
