Booking and quotes – simple, 24 hours a day

Call, send a WhatsApp message or an e-mail – our team replies shortly with the final quote.

Booking and quotes with us are simple, 24 hours a day: there is no complicated booking system, no registration and no form to fill in. A phone call, a WhatsApp message or an email is all it takes – our team handles the rest and, within a short time, sends you a final quote tailored to your journey.

We have been arranging premium chauffeur-driven travel for more than 25 years, and more than 150,000 rides have taught us one thing: the best booking is the one that takes up the least of our client’s time. That is why we chose the personal touch. Behind every booking there are real people on our team who will answer your questions and, where helpful, suggest the right vehicle, departure time or route.

Phone · WhatsApp · Email

Three simple ways to book

Choose whichever channel suits you best at the time. A booking made through any of the three is equally valid, and the same team looks after it.

Phone – 24 hours a day

You can call us day or night, seven days a week. For an urgent journey, to agree the details quickly, or simply if you would rather speak to a member of our team, this is the fastest option.

WhatsApp

If you are booking on the move, during a break in a meeting or from another time zone, send us a WhatsApp message. You can simply list the details below in your message – and a longer exchange stays in writing.

Email with a ready-made template

For more complex, multi-day or corporate journeys, email is the clearest option. Click the button and your email program opens a pre-prepared template – you only need to fill in the lines.

Open the email template

Which one should you choose? If the matter is urgent, or you would like to talk through the details straight away, call us. If you are on the move and want to note down the details quickly, send a WhatsApp message. If you are planning a complex programme covering several days or several passengers that you also need to share with colleagues, email works best, because every detail stays in one place and is easy to find later. You can, of course, combine the channels: many clients agree the essentials by phone and then email over the detailed schedule.

The email template contains the following lines: type of service, date and time, pick-up location, intermediate stops, destination, the planned number of hours for hourly bookings, number of passengers and pieces of luggage, child seat, chosen vehicle, flight number, name and phone number, and comments. If your email program does not open, write to us directly at budapest@limohungary.com.

The basis of your quote

What details do we need for your booking?

The clearer the picture we have of your journey, the more accurate the quote we can send – and the less back-and-forth there will be afterwards. The details below follow the same order as the email template, so you can easily go through them by phone or on WhatsApp, too.

1. Type of service

You can choose from four basic types:

  • From the airport – arriving in Budapest. Your chauffeur waits for you in the arrivals hall at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport with a name sign (Meet & Greet), escorts you to the car and drives you to the address you have given.
  • To the airport – departing from an address in Budapest or elsewhere in Hungary to the airport.
  • Transfer – any other journey from one point to another: within Budapest, elsewhere in Hungary or abroad.
  • Hourly booking, at your disposal – when you need the chauffeur for several locations over the course of the day, for example for meetings, sightseeing or an event.

2. Date and time

Give us the day of pick-up and your preferred departure time. For a trip to the airport, do not give your flight’s departure time but the time you would like to set off – and allow for check-in and security as well as the traffic typical of that time of day. For a return journey, please also include the date and time of the way back.

3. Pick-up location, intermediate stops, destination

Give an exact address with street and house number, or the name of the hotel. If someone else needs to be picked up on the way, or the journey covers several locations, list the intermediate stops in the order they will be visited. For larger tours taking in several stops around the country, our Round trip service is the answer – for groups of up to 50 people, with stops that can be changed flexibly.

4. For hourly bookings: how many hours?

Tell us how many hours you will need the chauffeur for and where the programme ends. If you are not yet sure, a rough outline of the day is enough – we will help you estimate the time from that.

5. Number of passengers and pieces of luggage

Include everyone in the headcount, children as well. For luggage, mention larger items separately – pushchairs, skis, bicycles, musical instruments, camera equipment – because they also determine which vehicle is right.

6. Child seat

If you are travelling with children, let us know how many child seats you need and of which type:

  • Infant seat: 0–1 years
  • Toddler seat: 1–3 years
  • Booster seat: 3–6 years

7. Chosen vehicle

If you already know which car you would like, tell us; if not, we will make a suggestion based on the number of passengers and the luggage. You will find help with choosing below.

8. Flight number

For airport journeys, give us the flight number and the scheduled arrival or departure time. If you are not the one travelling, please also give us the name of the guest whom our chauffeur will be waiting for with the name sign.

9. Name, phone number, comments

We will use your contact details to get back to you with the final quote. In the comments, include anything that may matter for planning: the outline of the programme, a special occasion, a particular request. Mineral water awaits passengers in every one of our vehicles, and you can mention any further requests here.

By group size and occasion

1–3 passengers, business or airport trip: the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the good-value executive choice, also suitable for journeys within Europe. For a distinguished guest or a protocol occasion, choose the S-Class; for quiet travel with zero local emissions, the electric EQS.

4–7 passengers, family or team: the Mercedes-Benz V-Class, with facing seats and chilled drinks on request, or the 100% electric Peugeot e-Traveller in its long-wheelbase version with a large boot.

Lots of luggage, a crew, a delegation: the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VIP carries six passengers and up to twelve pieces of luggage, with premium leather seats and a built-in mini fridge.

For larger groups, you can book more than one vehicle. If none of the classes suits you, let us know your particular requirements – we present the whole fleet on the Our fleet page.

From experience

Five small details that make a big difference

After more than 150,000 rides, we know exactly which details are most often missing from a quote request. If you think of these in advance, you will receive an accurate quote more quickly – and there will be no surprises on the day of travel.

  1. The exact address
A hotel chain may operate in several buildings in Budapest, and an office block may have several entrances. The street, the house number and – where relevant – the name of the entrance or gate save a great deal of time.
  2. The real number of passengers
Rather than “there will be about five of us”, the exact number helps most, because the choice of vehicle depends on it. If the number may still change, give us the most likely figure and the maximum.
  3. Large items of luggage
A pushchair, a golf bag or an instrument case will fit in most cars – but it matters how many there are and how many suitcases come with them. It is worth mentioning these separately.
  4. The return journey
Many people only describe the outward journey, yet for a return trip we also need the time and address of the way back to prepare the quote.
  5. A phone number that works on the day
On the day of travel, we need to reach the passenger on the phone they actually have with them – for guests from abroad, this is often not the same as the booker’s number.

  3. You decide
If the quote suits you, simply confirm through the same channel you used to request it – by phone, WhatsApp or email.

Prices and quotes

We publish the transfer fares and hourly rates of our vehicles openly; you will find them in the table above and on the Prices and FAQ page. For journeys elsewhere in Hungary or abroad, and for multi-day or multi-stop programmes, we send a tailored quote once we know the route. The amount is determined mainly by the chosen vehicle, the distance and the schedule – and, for hourly bookings, by the number of hours booked – so please give us these details as precisely as you can. If you are torn between two vehicles, ask for a quote for both and decide once you have the actual figures.

Payment

We accept credit cards. For corporate clients we offer a corporate rate: all of the company’s journeys appear on a single invoice, and electronic payment is also available. You will find the details on the corporate chauffeur service page.

Practical advice

Booking tips – airport, abroad, events

Airport transfer

Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) is about 16–20 km from the city centre; depending on the time of day, the journey takes roughly 25–60 minutes. For arrivals, the key details are the flight number, the scheduled arrival time and the name to go on the sign; for departures, the time you would like to reach the airport. If you are travelling straight on from the airport to elsewhere in Hungary or abroad, you can include that in a single quote request, too. You will find the details on the Budapest airport transfer page.

Journeys around Hungary

For a holiday at Lake Balaton, a wine programme in Eger or the Tokaj wine region, or a business trip to Debrecen, Szeged, Pécs or Győr, we need the same details as for a city transfer – the difference being that journey time also matters here. Tell us when you need to reach your destination, and if you would like to stop on the way – for lunch, a break or to pick up a second passenger – let us know that, too. For journeys around the country, we send a tailored quote once we know the route.

International journeys

We will gladly take you to Vienna, Bratislava, Prague, Košice, Kraków, Salzburg or Zakopane – a journey to Vienna or Prague is no obstacle at all. For an international journey, give us the exact destination address, whether you need a one-way or a return trip, and the planned time of the return. We send a quote for the journey based on the route, the schedule and the vehicle. Every passenger should carry a valid identity document. We present the routes on the international transfers page.

Events, weddings, sporting occasions

For a wedding, a concert or a Formula 1 weekend, the plan for the day is the most important information: when and where the programme begins, where it ends and how many locations it covers. In these cases an hourly booking is often the better choice, as the schedule can be adjusted flexibly. For major events – the Hungarian Grand Prix or a final at the stadium – demand for premium vehicles is high, so it is worth letting us know as early as possible. You will find ideas on the wedding car, concert and event transfers and Hungaroring transfers pages.

Booking on someone else’s behalf – for assistants and organisers

Often it is not the passenger who books, but an assistant, an office or an event organiser. In that case, please give the details of both the booker and the passenger in your quote request: whom we should send the quote to, and whom the chauffeur is waiting for – the name to go on the sign, plus a phone number on which the passenger can be reached on the day of travel. For corporate bookings, it is worth including the billing details in your very first message.

When should you book?

The earlier you let us know, the wider the choice. This is especially true during major events in Budapest, the summer high season and long weekends, when demand for premium vehicles is also high. If the journey is urgent, give us a call – that way you will find out what we can offer in the shortest possible time.

Multi-day and corporate programmes

If a delegation is travelling over several days, or conference guests need to be taken between several venues, send us the full schedule broken down by day – with times, locations and numbers of passengers. You will then receive a single, clear quote and, as a corporate client, a single invoice.

Examples

What a good quote request looks like

Airport arrival: “From the airport, 12 May, the flight lands at 14:35 from Frankfurt, flight number attached. Destination: a hotel in the city centre. 2 passengers, 3 suitcases. Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Name for the sign: Dr Anna Kovács.”

Hourly business day: “Hourly booking, 3 June, from 8:30 for about 9 hours. Locations: office block on Váci út, lunch in the city centre, a meeting in Buda, back to the hotel in the evening. 3 passengers, laptop bags. S-Class.”

Family day out: “Return transfer to Balatonfüred, 20 July, departing 9:00, return 19:00. 5 passengers, 5 suitcases, one booster seat (age 4) and one toddler seat (age 2). V-Class.”

You do not need to be this precise – if something is still uncertain, just say so, and we will clarify the missing details together.

Comfort and data

Special requests and data protection

Free Wi-Fi and mineral water await passengers in every one of our vehicles, and most cars also have USB chargers; in the V-Class, we can also provide chilled drinks on request. If you have any further requests – for example, you are preparing for a special occasion, or you have wishes regarding how your guest is welcomed – mention them in the comments and we will arrange them as needed. If you cannot find a suitable vehicle or class, let us know your particular requirements and we will find a solution together.

We use the personal data you provide in your quote request solely to prepare the quote and to carry out the journey, as described in our privacy policy. You will find our company details and address on the contact page.
